Corkwood flowers are adored by birds and ants looking for its nectar, the leaves however can be toxic in large quantities. There’s stories of the indigenous spiking small water holes that animals drink from, so they can then catch them to eat. Their leaves and bark are adored by the locals and serve as a great treat to paint. These were the first works using my new gum leaf greens as backgrounds
